There is nothing more important in a community than helping each other grow.
In the small business lane, this means supporting the various small businesses in your area. The best way to support them is to purchase your regular products and services from them and recommend them to your friends and family to spread the word.
Spending your dollars at the small business shops in your area instead of large chain stores, allows for growth in your local economy and more money will go back into the community at the end of the day. This allows for local business owners, and communities as a whole to have more success. Lending a hand to local stores, restaurants and other service providers will always have a great outcome in every community.
There are many ways to support a small business, but here are some basics:
1. BUY FROM THEM .. this may be a no brainer to most, but hey, might as well just put it out there
2. Share the experiences you have with your friends, family, coworkers, the guy in line behind you at the supermarket, your optometrist, etc. you get the idea.
3. Supporting a fellow small business? Sure, why not! Propose a trade off… Florists could exchange coupons with local photographers (and vice versa) to offer to wedding planners, or bride-/groom- to be’s.. Package deal! Local DJ’s could exchange coupons with bounce house rental companies (and again… vice versa) to boost sales at both companies! Bing Bang Boom.
4. If you are a small business, offer coupons to those who refer friends and families to you.
Share this with your friends! 🙂
